# Kit 1: The Fake-Data Commission Sheet

**Use when:** describing a spreadsheet's shape to an agent without sending real data.

Copy the headers, then fill the five rows. Keep the columns and the magnitudes; strip the identities.

```
REP ID | REGION | PRODUCT LINE | REVENUE | RATE | QUOTA | MULTIPLIER | COMMISSION
R-001  | [REGION]      | [PRODUCT A]       | 96,400  | 0.08 | 120,000 | 1.0 | 7,712
R-002  | [REGION]      | [PRODUCT A]       | 201,500 | 0.08 | 120,000 | 1.5 | 24,180
R-003  | [REGION]      | [PRODUCT B] (NEW) | 38,750  | 0.05 | 45,000  | 1.0 | 1,938
R-004  | [REGION]      | [PRODUCT A]       | -4,200  | 0.08 | 120,000 | 1.0 | -336
R-005  | [REGION]      | [PRODUCT B]       | 0       | 0.05 | 45,000  | 1.0 | 0
```

Shape rules:

- Keep column types: text holds text, numbers hold numbers, and blanks stay blank.
- Keep magnitudes: if your real revenue runs to six figures, the fake runs to six figures.
- Strip identities: no real names, territories, or amounts anyone could trace to a person. An ID like R-001 is enough.
- Keep the interesting rows: one below quota, one above, one new line, one negative, one zero, so the agent meets the same range it will meet in the real file.

Send the headers, the five rows, and your three-sentence description of what the sheet is supposed to do. That is the whole Chapter 5 prompt.

A ready-made synthetic file in this exact shape ships in the kit's `data/` folder as `commission-fake.csv`.
