# Kit 7: The Behavior-Test Log

**Use when:** you need to verify an artifact you cannot read the code of.

```
Input            | Expected output           | Actual output | Pass or fail | Who witnessed
[What you feed]  | [Answer you computed by hand] | [What it returned] | [Pass / fail] | [Name]
```

Hand-compute five to ten answers before you run anything: calculator, ten quiet minutes. Feed the artifact the same inputs, compare, log each line. A failed check is data, not shame. It earns a fix and one line in the change log. Re-run the set after every change, and on the first Monday of the month, re-run one. If the box agrees with arithmetic ten times in a row, the box is behaving. You never opened a formula.
