# One-Message-Per-Slide Worksheet (Chapter 7)

Fill one row per slide you keep. Any slide that cannot carry one message gets cut. Any slide carrying two gets split.

```
Slide | Message (one claim) | Evidence (verbatim number + source) | Keep / Cut / Split
1     | [Claim]             | [Number, source file]               | [...]
2     | [Claim]             | [Number, source file]               | [...]
3     | [Claim]             | [Number, source file]               | [...]
```

Before you render, run the phone test on paper: read each message aloud in order. If a stranger could follow the argument from the messages alone, the outline is ready. If not, the thinking is not done, and no formatting will save it.

Status shells you build once and reuse (same chapter):

- Status one-pager: what happened, what is next, what I need, what is at risk, the ask. Five lines total.
- Decision memo format: the problem, the options, the recommendation, what you need from me.
- Board pre-read: one page per decision, decisions first, talking points last.
